This land use coding scheme represents an enhancement of the original municipally assigned land use codes, and was donein an effort to address both the disparities in the coding of similar type sites (from one municipality to another) and to provide for updates of a parcels original land use code (e.g. vacant sites that have since been developed). Also, a few new codes wer established to identify distinct land uses such as condominiums, homeowner association/common lands, and Interstate and Parkway rights-of-way.
