Description:

Abstract:

Coverage includes location of all schools in Westchester County, New York as of August 2004. Coverage is cartographically consistent with NYSDOT street center line files. This coverage identifies 244 public schools in Westchester County. They were verified according to base mapping building footprints by 60 Control.

Purpose:

This coverage was compiled at a scale of 1:24,000. The coverage is intended for general planning purposes only, and may not be appropriate for site specific analysis. This file provides locational data on public schools in Westchester County. Primary purpose for the data is to support various applications requiring facility data.

This coverage is in Arc/Info export format. Coordinate System - New York State Plane, FIPS zone: 3101 (Formerly East Zone 4801), Units: Feet, North American Datum 1983.
