This Barrier dataset, photogrammetrically compiled and published at a scale of 1"=100', was produced from aerial imagery collected in April 2013 using UltraCAM Eagle camera and covers entire Westchester County,NY. It is described as 'barrier_line' and delivered as a planimetric layer from 2013 imagery compiled/updated in 3D environment using 6" GSD imagery. The layer includes road barriers, guard rails, noise walls, stone walls, retaining walls and concrete walls. Cocrete walls, stone walls and retaining walls found within a property are not represented.
The Barrier layer is intended to be used as one of the base layers with other digital layers such as cadastral features, topography and orthophotos.

The geographic extents of this dataset includes entire Westchester County, NY with 200 ft buffer
The dataset was derived using the existing datasets (last updated in 2004) and updated using 6" RGB imagery collected during April 2013. An UltraCAM sensor was used for collection of the imagery and orthophotos were developed using Z/I suite of software. Barrier layer was validated using the orthophotos and updates were performed in Z/I environment. The data was validated by County GIS and Bowne Management Systems as an independent QA review for completness of the data and consistency in data collection.
