Description:

This is a four-band April 2009 digital Orthophoto of Westchester County, New York. Three bands were captured in the visible light range (red, green and blue or RGB) as for natural color aerial photos, and a fourth band was captured in an (invisible) near-infrared (NIR) wavelength range. Image pixel size is one-foot (1.0') ground sample distance (GSD). Image horizontal accuracy is within four feet (4') at the 95% confidence level (NSSDA). This image was compiled from individual image tiles covering 2000 ft. by 3000 ft. on the ground. The image will usually be displayed in natural color by default, with Red, Green and Blue channels displayed using Bands 1, 2, and 3 respectively. To display a color infrared image in ESRI's ArcGIS software, choose settings 'draw a raster as an RGB composite', and set the channels RGB to 4, 1, and 2 respectively: Red as 4, Green as 1, and Blue as 2. In ArcGIS, for either natural or infrared, no Alpha band should be displayed.
