Description: This data layer consists of County, State, and Municipal Parks, Open Spaces and Parkway Lands. The layer was derived from the "wcospace" layer which serves as the master coverage of all county open space. A variety of sources were used to compile this information, including aerial photography, digital tax parcel data, and local recreation, land use and master plan maps. Other sources included municipal planning departments and consultants, conservation committees and the Westchester Land Trust.
Description: This data represents a Hillshade view of Westchester County's Digital Elevation Model (DEM), or bare-earth elevation surface. The DEM was produced from LiDAR data acquired in spring, 2009, and is a grid where each grid cell is 3-meters (9.84 feet) by 3-meters.
Description: This polygon layer features State, County, Town and Village boundary polygons of the areas surrounding Westchester County, NY. They include all of Putnam and Rockland County and part of Orange County NY, Fairfield County CT, and Bergen County NJ (township polygons not included in NJ). It aligns with, and is a companion to, the updated WCMUN, OUTSHADE, and OUTMUN_lines data layers. It was compiled in November 2014 using a variety of in-house and State level data layers and sources of the 3 states shown. This is not an offical or legal representation of jurisductional lines and, as such, should only be used for general reference purposes.
